Retail Prodigy Group holds the master Retail Franchise for Nike Stores across Australia and New Zealand.
Since 2011, RPG has driven the rapid expansion of Nike Branded Stores across Australia and New Zealand, opening and operating 60 Stores, including Myer Concessions and the Nike Womens Store concept. In August 2017, RPG celebrated its 60th store with the opening of a 3 level Flagship Store, in George Street, Sydney.
RPG is a fast-growing company, with a pipeline of new and exciting projects to come in 2018 and beyond.
Our Blueprint was developed to enable EVERY team member across RPG to gain an understanding of the Company’s direction. It is critical that our team mates share a common understanding of our Blueprint as this creates alignment and focus.
Every decision we make at RPG, in whatever role we play, should be guided by our Blueprint.
There are six key components of our Blueprint that shape the culture of RPG.
Steve began his retail career at Myer/Grace Bros on the Management Development Program, where he held various roles from Stores Management to Buying during his twelve years with the company. He then joined Nike Australia where he took on the role of Retail Director. Shortly after, Steve was offered the opportunity to move to NIKE’s world headquarters in the U.S. to head up the retail division for North America, including the iconic NIKETOWN flagship stores. After seven years with Nike, Steve moved to eyewear giant Luxottica in Sydney to head up the Sunglass Hut brand and lead the entry of the brand into Asia. Steve then moved to Melbourne three years later to take on the role of CEO for denim specialist Jeanswest, which is now positioned as a key player in the Jeanswear market. He held that position for four years. As Co-founder and CEO of Retail Prodigy Group, Steve has the opportunity to partner once again with the world’s leading sports and fitness brand Nike, and build a unique and distinctive company.
Charlie developed a passion for retail early in his career. Schooled at an upscale Men’s Fashion retailer, he developed a business philosophy centred on creating high-performance teams committed to excellence and delivering world-class customer engagement. Charlie’s love of sports led him to join Nike where he ultimately headed up Nike Global Retail. His frequent trips to Australia with Nike developed into a full-blown love affair and a desire to make Australia his adopted home. As co-founder of Retail Prodigy Group, he is excited about the opportunity to be reunited with Nike and his long time mate, Steve Younane.
“I am really proud to be part of a business that has gone from zero to more than 50 Nike stores in under 5 years—it has been an amazing rocket ride. The journey so far has been rewarding, educational and most importantly fun. But what’s even more exciting is how bright I honestly believe the future is—whether it’s through further store expansion, developing the team or additional brand acquisitions—there is so much to look forward to at Retail Prodigy Group right now.” Andrew McDonald — General Manager
