Hack Games 2023
Earlier this month two of our Support Office team members were invited to participate in MI Academy’s HACK GAMES 2023.
What is Hack Games, you might ask?
Hack Games is a retail hackathon all-day event whereby industry thinkers, legends and leaders are split into teams and tasked with solving an emerging industry challenge. Once the team have created a solution, they work collaboratively to produce a 3 minute pitch to a panel of judges. These pitches were then scored and the winning team was announced at the 2023 Inside Retail Academy.
RPG are now becoming sound contributors to the Hackathon with Kat’s team ‘Omneo’ winning in 2022 and Charlotte’s team ‘Tall Bob’ backing it up in 2023.
We asked Kat & Charlotte what their key takeaways from the day were:
Kat said, “The benefit of working cross functionally really shone through with some fantastic solutions to solve this year’s problem statement” whilst Charlotte thought “Hack Games was a super insightful experience that challenged my thinking and helped me workshop new and innovative ideas.”
